There have been many mornings this winter when I wish I had keyless locks on my car. I was also wishing that I had a remove starter. It was very cold this year, and there was a lot of snow. I have been having problems with the heat in my car, and that meant letting it warm up quite a while before driving my daughter off to school. Even though I live in a good neighborhood, I was worried about leaving my car running with the keys inside while the car warms up. If I had locks with keyless entry, I would not have had to worry about that issue.
Keyless locks have more uses that just allowing you to warm up your car without having to worry about leaving it locked, however. This is something that works great when you have your arms full and you don’t want to have to put everything down to open the truck or the door to your vehicle. Your keyless locks will open when you press a button, and you can then just slide your armful of goodies right in. That can be a huge relief, especially when you have children to worry about as well.
Another great thing about keyless locks for cars and trucks is a safety issue. You may know that it is often dangerous to be wandering around a dark parking lot at night, especially if you are in a strange area. Even taking a few seconds to fiddle with your car door lock can give someone the time to rob or even snatch you. If you have remote keyless locks on your car, you can unlock and enter your car very quickly. You should always take precautions, of course, and walk the other way if something does not seem right. Your keyless lock can help you out, but they cannot always be quick enough in some cases.
Keyless locks for the home are great if you are sure you have a secure system. When you have this, you can have a keypad that accepts a number to unlock the door. The problem with this is that you have to have a hard combination, and that might mean some members of your family can get locked out if they can’t remember it. It might also mean that someone may see you enter your number into your keyless locks, and they can then come back later to let themselves into your home. These are great for many uses, but make sure you know how to use them safely.
